BigEye Lamp: Built in America
We build all the BigEye lamps right here in El Paso, Texas! After purchasing BigEye Lamp in 2015, we moved everything from New Jersey to Texas. BigEye Lamp has always been a family-owned business, a tradition we are proud to carry on. This indispensable lighting and magnification tool was originally created in 1981, and we’ve simply updated and improved upon the time-honored classic.
For instance, we’ve made some changes to the components that go into these wonderful magnifying lamps, such as adding a silicone cover on the gooseneck arms to improve comfort and flexibility. LED lightbulbs (3000K or 4000K) are now standard and included with purchase. Our customers can also select a clamp option and a rolling base, brand new releases in the last year.
On top of those improvements, the BigEye now boasts 7 different lens options to accommodate almost anyone’s vision needs from +3D to +10.74D. One new option includes a 7” diameter lens (+3D), which is the largest lens we know of on any magnifying lamp! Most parts and pieces are metal, sturdy, and last a lifetime. Because this lamp is built to last, we don’t often get repeat sales from the same customers. You buy it once and you are set for life!
BigEye lamps are assembled by hand at our facility (see the spotlight on our builder, Martin, below). Because we build them in-house, we are able to control the quality. They’re also repairable by us if a need arises. With such attention and hands-on care, you know you’re getting the highest quality lamp possible.
